Top Film & Television iOS Apps in Ireland, Q1 2022

Throughout the first quarter of 2022, the leading Film & Television apps on iOS in Ireland demonstrated fluctuating trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here is a closer look at the performance of the top 5 apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Netflix saw a consistent revenue stream, peaking at approximately $33.9K towards the end of February. Weekly downloads initially declined from around 10.1K at the start of the quarter to a low of 3.1K by the end of February, before a slight recovery. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 240K throughout the quarter.

Disney+ maintained strong weekly revenue, with peaks hitting $60.2K at the end of February. Downloads decreased steadily from 8.3K at the start to about 2.7K by the end. Active users saw a minor decline early in the quarter but rebounded to over 108K by the end of March.

Amazon Prime Video experienced varied revenue, reaching a high of $30.8K in late February. Downloads showed a declining trend, dropping from 3.7K at the beginning to around 1.3K by the end. Active users fluctuated, peaking at over 47K at the start and ending the quarter with approximately 36.1K.

RTÉ Player had no revenue data reported. Downloads exhibited a downward trend, starting at 3.7K in early January and ending at about 1.1K by the end of March. Active users also saw a decline, from over 10.8K at the beginning of the year to around 5.8K by the end of the quarter.

Now similarly reported no revenue data. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 3.1K in mid-January before declining to 654 by the end of March.
